Let us know in the comments if you plan on getting this game again, and if you do, get ready for a lot of nostalgia. As for San Andreas on PS3, there's been no talk of that either. As a sidenote, there's been absolutely no talk of a mobile version of Vice City for iOS and Android coming out for it's 10th anniversary à la GTA III's last year. It's worth pointing out that the 10 year anniversary of Vice City is coming up in just over a month, so it's plausible that Rockstar may re-release the game then to coincide with that. Back in June, ESRB ratings were spotted for both GTA III and Vice City, but so far only GTA III has been talked about. Some of you may now be wondering if Vice City and San Andreas will also be re-released on the PS3. Unfortunately this means no remastered HD graphics, and no trophies, but hopefully the lack of such additions won't put you off replaying this amazing game. The fact this was even published could indicate a worldwide release was planned, or could have simply been some misinformation that was mistakenly put online.Īs we mentioned before, GTA III is being released as a PS2 classic - a direct, no-frills port of the original PS2 version. Having said that, last week PlayStation Asia had a page up on their site for GTA III which did specify the 25th September release date for that region as well, but the page was later taken offline. Currently there's no word on availability or pricing in other regions Europe, Asia and elsewhere may also see it tomorrow, or we may have to wait another week or so. That release got pushed back due to some licensing issues around certain music in the game, however, the US PlayStation Blog has confirmed today that GTA III will finally be arriving on the US PSN store tomorrow, 25th September, and will set you back. Additionally, there is a special edition 10th Anniversary PS3 and PS4 theme for all. Details will be sent to those eligible via email. They don’t progress the main storyline much but help the world feel alive on your PC screen.Back in July we reported on Grand Theft Auto III coming to the PSN store as a PS2 classic. To recognize and acknowledge those who have been with PlayStation Network from the very beginning, members with accounts of 9.5 years or more will receive an exclusive PS4 avatar. There are also mini-missions to check out. You’ll start off performing simple little tasks, which grow increasingly difficult as you progress. The massive GTA III environment offers an astonishing number of varied missions that give a sense of organization to the open-world maps. There is so much you can do, and the central plot will be there to return to whenever you’re ready. You can take a detour to do side-quests, investigate your environment, and test out the cars and weapons on the road, though it’s a scarce selection. Of course, you don’t have to obey the event structure from beginning to end. Like in Saints Row, you’ll encounter a series of unique street gangs and well-developed criminal organizations full of professionally voiced characters. You escape the police with the help of the Italian Mafia.Īfter the introduction, you’re off on an odyssey of non-linear missions for the various organized crime factions in the 3D world. You begin as a nameless criminal, double-crossed during a bank robbery. Like Retro City Rampage DX, it’s a throwback to the ’90s culture, filled with references and nods to nostalgic pop-culture elements. 7 8 Apenas llega, Carl es interceptado por los oficiales de policía del C.R.A.S.H. This release uses the series’ recognizable artwork style and cutscenes to tell the story, with stellar voice acting and dark humor supporting the plot. The dark, ruthless crime-filled open world is yours to explore. You return to the seedy underworld inhabited by a diverse cast of characters from all walks of life. Rockstar Games applies the same basic principles at work in the rest of the franchise to their third GTA game.
